How to Make Homemade Fruit Sorbet

Select Your Fruit Choose ripe, sweet fruits like berries, mangoes, or peaches for the best flavor. Fresh or frozen fruit works well.

Prepare the Fruit Peel, pit, and chop the fruit into small pieces. For frozen fruit, let it thaw slightly for easier blending.

Make a Simple Syrup Combine equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan. Heat until the sugar dissolves completely, then cool.

Blend the Fruit In a blender or food processor, blend the fruit until smooth. Add a splash of lemon juice to enhance flavor and balance sweetness.

Combine Ingredients Mix the fruit puree with the cooled simple syrup. Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more syrup if needed.

Chill the Mixture Refrigerate the mixture for about 1 hour to cool it down and improve the texture.

Freeze the Sorbet Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour it into a shallow dish and stir every 30 minutes until frozen.

Serve Immediately or Store For a soft-serve texture, enjoy immediately. For a firmer texture, transfer to a container and freeze for a few more hours.
